The ZZ Plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) is a hardy and low-maintenance houseplant, popular for its ability to thrive in a variety of conditions and its glossy, attractive foliage. The leaves are thick, waxy, and oval-shaped, with a glossy, deep green color. Some varieties, like Raven ZZ, feature dark purple-black foliage.
Sunlight:
Thrives in low to bright indirect light. Tolerates low light but grows more slowly. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Water:
Water sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot. Water about once every 2–3 weeks, depending on light and temperature.
Temperature:
Prefers temperatures between 65°F–85°F (18°C–29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
